I was searching for a file synchronization and sharing tool similar to DropBox and Ubuntu One. Friends were recommending AeroFS. I've been using DropBox, but now DropBox has Condoleezza Rice on their board [1]. Ubuntu One is no longer available. [2]

I decided not to use AeroFS because it's a proprietary service -- likely to go the way of the Dodo bird someday. Roelandt Savery - 'Dodo Birds', Chalk, black and amber on cream paper.jpg

  2. I know they say it's a business decision (http://blog.canonical.com/2014/04/02/shutting-down-ubuntu-one-file-services/), which sounds rational. But at first there was no explanation. And it was done rather abruptly. Did they get a national security letter forcing them to disclose user content on-demand which they refused to be a party to?
