You could try adding [[wp:Wikipedia:RefToolbar]] which works with the extension [[mw:Extension:WikiEditor]] for augmenting the ''source'' editing experience. For these, you will likely need to export and import all the lua modules and templates in the cite category, such as [[wp:Template:Cite web]] and [[wp:Module:Citation/CS1]]
