Some of the questions that pop up when discussing a CRM

How many people are going to access the system?: 6. It doesn't matter. There are no per seat charges, or any license fees of any kind.
How many members/contacts do we need to keep track of?: 2,000 It doesn't matter. There is no limit to the size of your database.
What salutations are required?: Mr. Mrs. Ms. Dr. Most don't matter too much, but Dr. is a tricky one. Best to let the customer specify themselves through signup so we don't make assumptions.
How should households be greeted?: Dear First1 Last1 and First2 Last2 rather than Mr. & Mrs. John Doe because partner may be Jane Smith who kept her maiden name.
What groups would our constituents naturally fall into?: Eg. "walkers", "runners", "bikers", "maintenance", "events"
What member types do we have?: Individual, Household, Corporate, Foundation
What other contact types do we have?: Partners; State organizations; Vendors; Elected officials in the towns we serve;
