I'm Greg ~~"freephile"~~ Rundlett. freephile ~~means~~ "~~lover of~~ freedom" ~~like~~ "~~freedomphile~~" ~~would be~~, ~~except that in a moment~~ of ~~bad decision-making~~, I ~~chose to shorten~~ it~~; forever confusing~~ the ~~moniker with "~~free ~~file";~~ which is ~~not what it stands for at all~~.

I'm Greg Rundlett. ''freephile'' is a moniker I chose a long time ago combining the ideals of "freedom" and the Greek "philos" to represent my affection for things like free thought, freedom of expression, free knowledge, freedom from oppression. I think it is unfortunate that the free software revolution which started in the mid 1980's is pretty much dead and captive to 'open source'.

When not at work, I take to the beaches, woods, trails, and mountains of New England to enjoy swimming, hiking, disc golf and scenic motorcycle rides. My [[Interests]] also include organic gardening and photography.
