Some of the questions that pop up when discussing a CRM

How many people are going to access the system?

6. It doesn't matter. There are no per seat charges, or any license fees of any kind.

How many members/contacts do we need to keep track of?

2,000 It doesn't matter. There is no limit to the size of your database.

What salutations are required?

Mr. Mrs. Ms. Dr. Most don't matter too much, but Dr. is a tricky one. Best to let the customer specify themselves through signup so we don't make assumptions.

How should households be greeted?

Dear First1 Last1 and First2 Last2 rather than Mr. & Mrs. John Doe because partner may be Jane Smith who kept her maiden name.

What groups would our constituents naturally fall into?

Eg. "walkers", "runners", "bikers", "maintenance", "events"

What member types do we have?

Individual, Household, Corporate, Foundation

What other contact types do we have?

Partners; State organizations; Vendors; Elected officials in the towns we serve;
