2024 Update
I found a Wikidata related project called Inventaire which does sorta the same thing as LibraryThing, but in the fediverse with open data. The Inventaire project uses MediaWiki software for their knowledgebase at https://wiki.inventaire.io/wiki/Main_Page , and you can import your LibraryThing data into Inventaire
ISBN
ISBN (and PubMed PMID and IEEE RFC) links used to be automatically linked by MediaWiki software, but now you have to explicitly enable them as magic links
and also setup a Project namespace page like wp:Book sources
The 'process'<re>https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Requests_for_comment/Future_of_magic_links</ref> to remove the feature was controversial, but pushed through anyway.
