Most of what is here should derive from experience and the various domains of expertise of all our contributors.  The overwhelming impetus behind the effort to take this project from idea into practice is the fact that individuals in the United States are at ever greater risk of losing their opportunity for free technology at the same time that free technology is becoming so amazingly abundant and easy to use.  The idea is that by building a community, it will create synergies that make a sum greater than the value of all its parts.

To add to the fun and excitement, there is now a '[http://www.freephile.com/sitebar/ Bookmark Server]' available. The bookmark server allows you to have all your 'favorites' (aka bookmarks) available all the time from any computer.  Simply create an account, import your current favorites, and off you go.  The interface even allows for the traditional desktop 'drag and drop' operation to be carried out in your web browser, making it very convenient to organize your favorites.  Plus, you can share your bookmarks, or keep them private according to your desire.
